Film Requirements

Feature Films

  • Runtime: More than 50 minutes
  • Maximum: 120 minutes (including credits)
  • Completed on or after January 1, 2024
  • No films still in progress

Short Films

  • Runtime: 10-50 minutes (including credits)
  • Completed on or after January 1, 2024
  • No films still in progress
  • All genres welcome

No exceptions to these time limits will be accepted.

Synopsis (in English) and 3 high resolution stills from the film required.

Password protected/private Vimeo or YouTube link available until notification date.

Important Notes:

  • Submission fees are non-refundable for any reason
  • We only review one version of your film - no subsequent cuts accepted
  • Foreign language films with continuous dialogue MUST be dubbed or subtitled in English
  • Entrants under 18 years are not permitted to submit

Official Selection Format

Upon being accepted as an Official Selection entry, all entrants must:

Blu-ray Submission

Submit film via U.S. formatted NTSC Blu-ray (only format we use). DO NOT submit original/only copy.

Deadline Compliance

All Blu-rays must be submitted by the deadline given in your acceptance email.

Required Materials

  • Title and Tracking #
  • Director(s)' name
  • List of Acting Cast credited in film
  • Contact Information including mailing address
  • Run Time (English Translation Required)
  • Movie Poster (jpeg format)

Student Submissions

Student Fee Option entrants (Ages 18-23, enrolled in accredited college/university) must submit Student ID copy with Blu-ray material.

Shipping Notice: Miramar 2026 is not responsible for LOST or DAMAGED packages. Senders are responsible for tracking safely-packaged and insured shipments.
